PDO threads for tightening
Those with mild or even significant localized sagging, but who do not wish to undergo surgery, now have an excellent option to achieve the desired result.
Absorbable PDO threads are inserted into the target area using tiny needles and remain in the skin, activating fibroblasts to stimulate collagen and elastin production around the material. The threads are eventually absorbed, “replaced” by collagen fibers arranged in a specific pattern, improving skin texture and producing the promised tightening effect. In the best cases, results can last up to 2 years thanks to the new collagen formation.
PDO threads are 100% bio-absorbable, made of polydioxanone, similar to commonly used absorbable surgical sutures. Full absorption takes 6–8 months. They have CE certification, confirming their safety for medical use.
There are various types of PDO threads that can create a reinforced internal mesh to safely lift and support body tissues and “fill” areas with deep or static wrinkles.
PDO threads can be applied to both the face and body. On the face, they are used to improve the jawline, neck, cheeks, and marionette or frown lines.
For the body, recommended areas include the arms, abdominal region, buttocks, and inner thighs.
It should be noted that PDO threads cannot achieve results comparable to a Face Lift or other invasive procedures, especially in more demanding body areas. Areas with thinner skin and less weight, such as the neck, tend to respond better to the treatment.

Return to daily activities is immediate. Mild swelling or bruising may occur, but these resolve within the following days.
