Liposuction – Liposculpture
Often, when fat accumulation is localized and the amount to be removed is small, liposuction can be performed exclusively under local anesthesia or with mild sedation for more sensitive patients.
It is a technique that corrects localized fat deposits without leaving marks. Since only a small amount of fat is removed, there is no risk of skin laxity, which can occur with extensive liposuctions, especially on skin with low elasticity.
All incisions are small (3–4 mm) and, for better aesthetic results, are hidden in natural skin folds whenever possible.
After the Procedure
The patient is discharged from the clinic on the same day, wearing a special compression garment or belt for approximately one month, depending on the area treated. Any swelling usually subsides within 8–10 days. Daily activities can be resumed immediately while wearing the compression garment, but exercise should be avoided for about one month.
The final results begin to appear after 15 days and continue to improve over the following months.
Liposuction is based on the observation that fat cells in the human body have an almost zero rate of multiplication; their number remains stable, and only their volume changes.
Therefore, removing a number of fat cells produces a permanent result in terms of body proportions. New body contours are created, which will be maintained in the future regardless of weight gain or loss. Naturally, maintaining a stable body weight is essential to preserve the best aesthetic outcome.
Combination Procedures
The fat that is removed can be re-injected into another area of the body, similar to the technique used in Brazilian Butt Lift, or it can be processed and used as material for facial fillers (Autologous Fat), or serve as a source for the extraction of Stem Cells.
