Thigh Lift

Understanding the Procedure

Sagging on the inner thighs is a common characteristic in both women and men who have experienced significant weight loss, as well as in women over the age of 50.

This represents an aesthetic deformity of the area, which tends to worsen over time.

Exercise and diet cannot reverse this condition because the skin on the inner thighs is thinner and contains less collagen.

The Procedure of the Operation

Thigh lift surgery is the only technique that removes loose and sagging skin on the inner thighs. The excess skin in this area is eliminated through an incision made in the groin crease.

At the same time, liposuction is performed on the inner thighs or other areas as needed, in order to remove as much of the loose skin in the area as possible.

The incision is then sutured in a way that places the scar within the underwear line. Additionally, the thigh tissues are anchored with sutures to the periosteum of the pubic bone to prevent the scars from shifting downward over time and becoming visible.

After the Procedure

In the first days after the procedure, patients experience reduced mobility due to the extensive tension in the inner thigh area. There is no pain, only a sensation of tightness.

Return to daily activities is possible after 5–7 days, as mobility is significantly limited during the initial period.

Physical exercise should be avoided for approximately one month, after which a full return to work is allowed.

Quitting smoking both before and after the procedure is considered important to prevent complications.
