Neck Lift

The neck is an area that reveals our age

Over time, the contour of the lower face, jawline, and chin begins to sag. This laxity usually involves the platysma muscle, which is the most superficial muscle of the neck, while excess skin and fat are also observed in the neck area.

The solution to this concern is provided by a Neck Lift – Neck Rejuvenation procedure, performed under general anesthesia or sedation, with a duration of approximately 2 hours.

Surgical correction is often combined with that of the midface, although it can also be performed independently. In some cases, a small incision under the chin is necessary in order to optimally reshape the fat and the platysma muscle. The results of this technique can be further enhanced with neck liposuction, if required.

Incisions are typically made behind the ears, extending into the hairline, while in some cases they may follow the natural crease in front of the earlobe.

Subsequently, almost the entire skin of the neck is carefully elevated, followed by the placement of sutures to reposition the deeper tissues (SMAS plication) to their previous youthful position.

Excess skin is removed, further tightening the tissues and ultimately achieving a firm, youthful-looking neck.

After the Procedure

The stay at the clinic ranges from a few hours to one day.

Recovery from a Neck Lift lasts approximately 10–15 days, after which you can return to work, while full activity is resumed after this period.

Smoking cessation is essential both before and after the surgery in order to reduce the risk of complications.

The results are long-lasting, offering a refreshed, well-rested, and youthful-looking neck with no visible signs of intervention, which is key to a natural result.
